Buying new — Premium Deluxe Motorsport (PDM)
Head to the PDM dealership near Legion Square to buy a brand-new vehicle. Anyone can buy here — no job needed.
- Financing is available: put down at least 25% and pay off the rest over up to 24 installments.
- Test drives are available before you commit to buying.
- There’s also a boat shop at the marina.
Buying used — Boppe’s Car Yard
Out at Sandy Shores, players can list their own vehicles for sale to other players. If you’re selling, know that the yard takes a cut: you only receive 77% of the sale price, the rest is a listing fee.
Keys
- Vehicles are locked/unlocked with L while standing near the vehicle.
- Carjacking is possible — point a weapon at a pedestrian in a vehicle and hold for about 7 seconds to pull them out.
Garages
- Open a garage from the radial menu (Z) while standing in one — the option changes depending on whether you’re parking or retrieving.
- Retrieved vehicles are locked and you won’t auto-warp into the driver’s seat.
- Public garages are located across the map, including Legion Square, Pinkcage, Mirror Park, the Casino, the Airport, and Paleto Bay/Bell Farms.
Impound
Got your car impounded? The fee is 2% of the vehicle’s shop price — insured vehicles get a 25% discount on that fee (see Vehicle Insurance).
Customization
Stop by a mechanic shop and speak with an employee for work on your paint, wheel, performance, neons, lights, and more!
