📱 Your Phone

Press F1 to open your phone at any time. Every new character starts with one, which is active after using your SIM card.

Pre-installed apps

Phone, Messages, Mail, Maps, Compass, Camera, Photos, Music, Weather, Clock, Calendar, Notes, Voice Memos, Bank, Health, Files, Settings, App Store, Calculator, and Passwords all come installed from the start.

Three Blackveil-specific apps also come pre-installed:

• Information — your character’s info card: name, date of birth, citizen ID, and state ID.
• Jobs — a live tracker for civilian jobs (shows your current route/stop for Garbage, Deliveries, etc.).
• Reputation — shows your reputation tier and progress for each civilian job (Garbage Collector, Window Cleaner, Deliverer, Trucking, and more), which increases your pay the more you grind a job.

Downloadable apps

Head to the App Store to grab: Groups, Squawk (a Twitter/X-style social app), Services, Pages, Marketplace, Dark Chat, Cherry, Photogram, Garages, Homes, Ryde, Cookie, and a handful of games (Wordle, Flappy, Blocks, Blackjack, Climber, Connect 4, Chess, Battleship).

Groups matter

Most civilian jobs (see the Job Guide) require you to be in a group before you can start. Create or join a group from the Groups app before heading to a job ped. If you want to do the jobs by yourself, you still need to make a group but you could be in it alone.

Camera controls

While using the Camera app: hold your extra mouse button to look around, press Down to lock the camera in place, and Right Shift switches to face/selfie mode.
