π Car Boosting (DarkList)
A solo car-theft contract system run through a hidden phone app called DarkList.
Getting access
You need a Boosting Access Key item to unlock the app. Itβs a one-time use that permanently flips your access on.
Vehicle tiers
Contracts come in five tiers, from easiest to hardest: D, C, B, A, S. Higher tiers pay more but are far more dangerous, and are gated behind XP you earn from completing lower-tier jobs:
| Tier | XP required to unlock |
|---|---|
| D | 0 |
| C | 50 |
| B | 150 |
| A | 400 |
| S | 1,000 |
Taking a contract
- Open DarkList and accept a posted contract.
- Travel to the target vehicleβs location β it only actually spawns once youβre close.
- D/C tier vehicles spawn unlocked and unguarded β just lockpick your way in like any other car.
- A/S tier vehicles spawn locked, guarded by armed NPCs, and need a hacking laptop item to break into. The laptop has limited battery life and drains a chunk of it every time you use it, so donβt waste hacks. Getting close enough to try wakes the guards up β S-tier guards run assault rifles, A-tier run pistols.
- A/S tier also needs a second hack just to start the engine once youβre in the driverβs seat.
- A/S tier vehicles broadcast their GPS location to police every 90 seconds until you disable the tracker β which requires driving fast (75+ mph) while a passenger runs a separate hacking minigame. This is built for two people; doing it solo is rough.
Delivering
Drive the vehicle to one of several fence points around the map. You get a choice:
- Sell for cash β paid straight to your pocket, no bank trail.
- Keep it β scratch the VIN and store it in your own garage. Itβll show up as stolen if a cop runs a VIN check on it later, so this isnβt exactly βsafe,β just different risk.
Either way, delivering successfully earns you XP toward unlocking the next tier.
