📇 Fake Plates

A quick way to throw off a vehicle ID check while you’re up to something.

Using one

Fake plate items come with a limited number of uses (usually 3) before they wear out. Apply one to a parked vehicle — it takes about 6 seconds — and the plate swaps to a randomly generated fake number.

There’s a short cooldown (about a minute) before you can slap another one on a different vehicle.

Taking it off

• You can remove your own fake plate at any time — even off a car that isn’t legally yours.
• An on-duty police officer with a screwdriver set can also force one off , restoring the real plate.

If the plate still has uses left when it’s removed, you get it back in your inventory. Run out of uses and it’s gone for good.
