πŸ’° Heists

Blackveil’s heists run through the heist contracts app β€” a laptop/tablet app (or a phone app, depending on your setup) that works like a job board.

The basics

  • New contracts appear automatically over time, and old ones expire if nobody picks them up.
  • You can only own one contract at a time. Buy it from the marketplace with VICE (the heist currency, starting balance 1,500) into your slot, then start it.
  • Every heist needs a crew of 2 to 5 players. Before you can start, every crew member has to set a cut percentage, and those cuts must add up to exactly 100%.
  • Starting can be blocked if your crew’s the wrong size, the location’s on cooldown, another crew is already running it, not enough police are online, or your crew’s level is too low.
  • Completing heists earns VICE and XP, which levels you up and unlocks harder heists and better contract prices.

Buying gear

The marketplace sells every hacking tool and weapon you’ll need for a given heist, gated by your level. Tools are picked up from a random drop point after purchase β€” you’ve got about 10 minutes to grab them before the drop expires.

Practicing minigames

Every heist minigame (lockpicking, hacking, safe-cracking, and more) can be practiced risk-free in a training mode, unlocked per-game by level and a VICE cost. Worth doing before you burn a real contract attempt on something you’ve never seen.
